Issue #10 - How brave are you willing to be this week?

This week, we read Dare to Lead by Brené Brown.

Dare to Lead is a refreshing look at leadership rooted in courage, vulnerability, and meaningful connection. Brown argues that the best leaders aren’t the ones with all the answers—they’re the ones willing to ask tough questions and step into uncertainty.

One key insight: You can’t have courage without vulnerability. Real leadership happens when we’re willing to take risks, show up authentically, and foster trust.

How to apply it: Next time you're leading a team or navigating a tough situation, ask yourself, “What’s the brave thing to do here?” Embrace the discomfort—it’s where true growth (and leadership) happens.

“Our attention when we fail to put it to use for our own objectives, becomes a tool to be used and exploited by others.” -Dan Nixon

When was the last time you reached out to someone in your network without needing anything from them? What’s stopping you from doing it today?
